Apple Gardens Arranged on 1,128 hectares under Plant the Future Program
Apple gardens have been arranged on 1,128 hectares in Georgia, as part of the Plant the Future state program. The co-funding component constituted GEL 9 million.
The forecast harvest of apples is 120,000 tons, up 300% year on year.
This year the entrepreneurs will receive state subsidies too. For sales promotion, the Government has prepared a state program for subsidizing 1 kilogram on nonstandard apple by GEL 0.10.
As a result of the state subsidization, farmers will receive GEL 0.22 for 1 kilogram of nonstandard apple.
