Agriculture Minister: 16 New Enterprises were Launched with Government’s Support in 2020
A total of new 16 enterprises were launched with the Government’s support, Georgian Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili noted.
As part of the state co-funding project for recycling and storehouse enterprises, six recycling and 10 storehouse companies were financed in 2020. The total investment value of all projects marked GEL 19 million, Levan Davitashvili noted when introducing the report on the 2020 performance.
Furthermore, since 2014, the Government has co-funded 56 projects in agricultural products processing enterprises and total investments amounted to GEL 80 million, of which the state co-funding exceeded GEL 28 million. The Government has financed 43 projects in the storehouse complex worth GEL 53 million and the state co-funding amounted to GEL 23 million. ‘It should be noted that simultaneously with taking state grants, beneficiaries could also use preferential agro loans”, Levan Davitashvili said
