A Memorandum of Cooperation Has Been Signed Between the Competition Agency of Georgia and the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara
Irakli Lekvinadze, Chairman of the Competition Agency of Georgia, and Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The memorandum includes cooperation in the execution of Competition Law and the share of important information. Also, at the regional level, joint planning and implementation of measures to improve the competitive environment and prevent violations.
Under the decision of the Chairman of the Competition Agency of Georgia, the process of strengthening the competition policy at the regional level begins. Competition policy to be conducted effectively and protected free competitive environment, according to the order of the Chairman, from April 1, 2020, Tariel Giorgadze, Dr. of Business Administration, was appointed as the Representative of the Competition Agency in Adjara. He has considerable experience working with various state agencies.
Currently, the agency is working on three cases in the Adjara region. The Memorandum of Cooperation is one of the main escalators for conducting meetings and consultations promptly and effectively in the region.
