29 Investors Interested in the Greenhouse Cluster Development Project in Imereti
Imereti Agro Zone Ltd (IAZ) announced its Request for Proposals (RfP) in November 2021 to participate in the Greenhouse Cluster Development Project. The purpose of this was to select investors and conclude relevant agreements with them.
The process of accepting proposals for the project was completed on December 31, 2021.
Imereti Agro Zone Ltd (IAZ) received 29 proposals from 10 countries.
The proposals are divided according to the interests of the companies as follows:
- From greenhouse investors - 3 applications;
- 9 applications to participate in the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center;
- From the representatives of supporting businesses within the Imereti agro zone - 14 applications;
- Within the collection logistics center - 1 application;
- For co-financing of project investors - 1 application;
- On full project management - 1 application.
As Business Press News was informed by the Rural Development Agency, the process of negotiating with the applicants is currently underway. As a result, a corresponding agreement will be signed with each of them.
The Greenhouse Cluster Development Project envisages the establishment and development of high, medium and low-tech greenhouses, a logistics and sales center, processing enterprises and various ancillary businesses in the Imereti region.
