₾11 Million Multifunctional Sports Complex in Akhaltsikhe Under Construction

A multifunctional sports complex is being built in Akhaltsikhe. The project is implemented by the Municipal Development Fund with ₾11 million funding from the Asian Development Bank.

The sports complex will have large and small swimming pools, gymnasiums, weightlifting, boxing and wrestling halls. Each hall and pool will have its own dressing rooms and showers. The project also envisages the construction of an open cafe and a small shop. Parking will be arranged in the vicinity of the sports complex. The sports complex is fully adapted for people with disabilities.

After the completion of the construction, it will be possible to hold tournaments in many national and international levels in Akhaltsikhe in many sports activities and sports.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure this year started the construction of a modern Olympic pool and sports complexes in 3 big cities - Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Rustavi.
