Vaccination QR Codes Work in Georgia, not in EU Space

QR codes proving full vaccination are well-read in Georgia. The only problem is that Georgia’s QR codes are not verified in EU space, Amiran Gamkrelidze, director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) told reporters after the July 27 meeting of the Government’s coordination board.

The Government is working to tackle this issue. Corresponding offices are working on the issue together with the Foreign Ministry and Georgia will gradually join this space, Amiran Gamkrelidze noted. As reported, Georgian filmmakers spread information that at Cannes Festival they had submitted QR codes for vaccination, but the codes were not verified and the artists could not confirm they were vaccinated.
