Vaccination Centers to Open at Shopping Malls in July
The vaccination program will be expanded starting July, both in Tbilisi and in regions. As noted by Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia, additional vaccination locations will be arranged and new brigades will be involved in the process.
New vaccination centers will be arranged at both medical facilities and public spaces. Consultations are underway with shopping malls too. “At this stage, approximately 200 brigades operate all over the country. Another group of 200 brigades will be organized in addition, primarily for regions to vaccinate enough number of people there. For instance, today 94 brigades operate in Tbilisi and we will shape 28 brigades in addition, while in Imereti Region, only 18 brigades work and 31 new brigades will be mobilized”, Tamar Gabunia noted.
Vaccination centers will be also arranged in public spaces too. Consultations are underway with shopping malls. We have also selected big spaces, where medical facilities will arrange vaccination spaces. We will also organize additional centers for registration”, the Deputy Health Minister said. The information campaign will be also expanded, Tamar Gabunia pointed out. “In partnership with the World Bank (WB), we have already selected the company that will assist us in implementing our campaign. An information campaign is also underway in collaboration with the Government of Britain. The World Health Organization also provides due assistance”, Tamar Gabunia noted.
