Two Georgian Films to Screen at the DOK Leipzig International Film Festival

Two Georgian films will be presented at the DOK Leipzig International Documentary and Animated Film Festival, the National Film Center reports.

The premiere of Maradia Tsaava's documentary "Water Has No Borders" will take place in the international competition program. The action in the film takes place on the arch dam of Enguri, where a journalist accidentally tries to cross the border of the unrecognized republic of Abkhazia. The film is produced by OpyoDoc.

Also, the German premiere of Mariam Kapanadze's documentary will be held at the Doc Leipzig Film Festival, an international short film competition. The artist of the work is Irakli Toklikishvili, and the producer is Mariam Kandelaki). The world premiere of the animation was held in Japan, at the Hokkaido International Film Festival, and since then "Abandoned Village" has been awarded in many countries.

Both Georgian films presented at the Doklaipzig Film Festival were created with the support of the National Film Center.

It should be noted that Elene Mikaberidze's film project "Dream on Cadillac" will be presented at DOK Co-Pro Market. Projects on the industrial platform were selected from 36 countries.

The film festival will be held on October 25-31, at the 64th.
