Tourism Administration Selected 18 Hotels for Quarantine Zones in Svaneti

In regards of Covid-19 cases in Mestia Municipality, the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has started describing and identifying hotels for quarantine zones, as a result of which 18 hotels with 327 rooms are ready. The information is spread by the Tourism Administration.

"18 hotels have already been identified in Mestia for transferring tourists to quarantine zones in Mestia Municipality, which fully meet the standards for quarantine space and have passed inspection. Contracts are being signed with hotels to arrange quarantine zones, allowing citizens to stay in hotels where quarantine space can be arranged, or transfer them to quarantine space in another region. We call on the citizens of the municipality to contact domestic tourists on the hotline 144 for registration and organized transfer to the quarantine zone, "- said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Head of the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

At this time, the first stream of tourists has been identified through the hotline "144". Due to the desire, the transfer of tourists has already started in the quarantine areas in the regions near the municipality of Mestia.
