Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports have Worked in Emergency Mode for 50 Days Already

As Tea Zakaradze - Deputy General Manager of TAV Georgia posted on Facebook, during the period of State of Emergency, the company already served 680 flights in Tbilisi and Batumi airports.

"It's been already 50 days since we switched to the State of Emergency and now work by so-called limited operation mode. We already served 680 flights in Tbilisi and Batumi airports.", noted Tea Zakaradze and added, that team of TAV Georgia insured approximately 200 tonnes of weight transfer.

"Our employees are on the frontline of the pandemic. We can not compare ourselves to the doctors, but we have to work at high risk too. Our workers also ensure safe transporting of a disabled passenger in a wheelchair with special equipment, which contains high risk.", stated Tea Zakaradze.

As she also mentioned, they set up special quarantine zones, arranged disinfectants in the whole terminal.

"Because of the high-standard measures taken for safety, infection is not detected in 1360 workers, in spite of direct contact with passengers, cargo, and aircraft.", says Tea Zakaradze.

"thanks to the aerodrome, fire service, flight operating agents, terminal duty officers, technicians, electricians, artisans, accountants, economists, our doctors, safety officers, administrations, managers, and so on. With this, we support our country.", wrote Tea Zakaradze in her Facebook post.
