9 sports championships in 6 days - the summer phase of the project "Active Life is My Passion" was held in Terjola supported by Socar.

Participants of peacekeeping operations, soldiers wounded in military operations, and war veterans competed in championships.

Several winners were revealed on paintball, fencing, archery, sitting volleyball, arm wrestling, boccia, backgammon, dominoes, and joker tournaments in both individual and group disciplines.

Project supporters, including SOCAR, have allocated cash prizes, which were distributed to 31 winners. The sports gatherings were organized by the Youth Media Connections with the support of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, the State Department for Veterans Affairs, and Gori City Hall.

The company Socar has supported the project "Active Life is My Passion" for three years. More than 500 people with disabilities, wounded military men, and veterans participate in the activities annually.

The project helps them to increase their motivation to stay active and show their abilities in various sports.

The project "Active Life is My Passion" promotes the implementation of the 30th article of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The project aims to encourage the enactment of the convention on the scale of Georgia and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of the human rights of persons with disabilities.
