Solar Power Plants Installed in Tusheti Villages

According to the decision made by the government of Georgia, in the mountain villages without electricity, solar power plants have been installed.

As the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared, 25 solar power plants were installed in the high mountainous settlement, in the region of Kakheti, in the municipality of Akhmeta. Therefore, 12 solar power plants were given to the villages of Tusheti. 

According to them, the solar power plant is set at 1,500 watts, which is enough to turn on several appliances at the same time - home lighting, refrigerator, and other household appliances.

The project was implemented by the local authorities, with the involvement of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, and USAID Energy Program.
