Silknet Opens Anniversary Season of the Tsinandli Festival with Celebrations

This year, the Tsinandali Classical Music International Festival is five years old.

The jubilee season was opened under the conductorship of Gianandrea Noseda, the famous maestro, artistic director of the US National Symphony Orchestra, and the music director of the Zurich National Opera. The orchestra, composed of young musicians from seven countries, was partnered by the famous pianist Yefim Bronfman. The fine works of Robert Schumann and Peter Tchaikovsky were performed.

The magical days of the festival are once again presented by Silknet. Until the 10th of September, a stellar line-up of world-famous conductors and performers will gather at the historical Tsinandali Estate.

Conductors include Gianandrea Noseda, Manfred Honeck, Vakhtang Kakhidze and Christoph Koncz. Virtuoso soloists include Yefim Bronfman, Tsotne Zedginidze, Nobuyuki Tsujii, Alexander Malofeev, Marc Bouchkov, Zlatomir Fung, Boris Giltburg, Irina Sherazadishvili, Nino Zhvania, Augustin Hadelich, Amihai Grosz, Julien Quentin, Giorgi Gigashvili,, Michael Barenboïm, Lisa Batiashvili, Gautier Capuçon, Olga Schepps, David Garrett, Mao Fujita, Anastasia Aghladze, Elene Gogogdze, Ana Gogoladze, Tamar Daraselia, David Gogoladze, Sandro Nebieridze.

On the 2nd of September, the festival will host the Sergei Rachmaninov Jubilee Marathon throughout the day, which is dedicated to the memory of the famous pianist Lekso Toradze. Within the framework of this program, actor Nino Kasradze will perform Jean Cocteau's play "The Voice of Man" in front of the audience. The festival will be closed by the world famous violinist Liza Batiashvili.

At the end of each day, Silknet, the presenter of the festival will offer events with profound Georgian artists.
