Salome Jashi’s Taming the Garden Participates in Berlinale Forum
Salome Jash's film "Taming the Garden" participates in one of the sections of the Berlin International Film Festival's Forum.
The documentary responds to the hobby of collecting trees from the former Prime Minister of Georgia and leader of the Georgian Dream Bidzina Ivanishvili. The picture brings to the fore the theme of rivalry between man and nature, which is developing against the background of social and economic problems in Georgia.
"Taming the Garden" premiered at the Sundance International Film Festival. The film received positive reviews from critics.
The "Forum" section is run separately from the main competition program and has its own reward system. The authors of the film will be awarded prizes and cash prizes in 10 different categories. In addition to Salome Jashi's, the section presents 16 more films from different countries.
The Berlinale Forum has an independent, almost 50-year history.
