Public Transport to Resume Operation on February 8; Restaurants to Open on February 15

The Government of Georgia has taken the decision to let the municipal transport system resume operation on February 8, while restaurants and cafes are entitled to restart business only in outdoor spaces on February 15.

“Daily infecting indicator has fallen below 4%. This positive trend suggests lifting restrictions gradually with caution. Unreasonable cancellation of all restrictions at once will aggravate the situation again and make us introduce them again shortly. The current positive indicators enable us to lift the restrictions a little bit sooner.

Thus, the municipal transport system will resume operation in Georgia on February 8, while restaurants and cafes are entitled to restart business in outdoor space on February 15”, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia noted at the Government’s Coordination Board meeting.
