Number of Quarantined Persons in Svaneti Region Exceeds 900
Over 900 persons have been transported to quarantine zones from Svaneti Region to various regions of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, Head of the National Tourism Administration noted after the August 12 meeting of the Government’s Interdepartmental Coordination Board. Today, large-scale works have been fulfilled in Svaneti Region, she added.
“We provide an active job in the Region, under instructions of the Coordination Board. We keep direct communication with almost all visitors in the Region. As for August 12, large-scale works were held and today we can say that over 900 persons have been transported to quarantine spaces. We have arranged quarantine spaces in Svaneti Region. We have appraised the existing situation at the local facilities. We have tried our best to make this process convenient and comfortable for holidaymakers.
We have transported part of the holidaymakers from Svaneti Region to various quarantine spaces in Georgia.
Furthermore, we have mobilized vehicles for those people, who do not have their own vehicles. As for transport owners, we provide organized supervision for their guidance to quarantine zones”, Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
