National Library is Hosting Shalva Kikodze Georgian Caricature Festival

In the National Library of the Parliament named after Ilia Chavchavadze, with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the non-governmental organization "ART & SOCIETY" hosted the Shalva Kikodze Georgian Caricature Festival for the second time,- the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth reports.

According to their information, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia Thea Tsulukiani attended the opening ceremony of the festival.

Within the framework of the festival, master classes and lectures will be held on the genre of Georgian caricature, its development path and importance; Meetings will be held by Georgian and invited (Romania, Turkey) cartoonists, who, together with Georgian creativity, will have the opportunity to talk about the experience of their countries in relation to the genre of caricature.

It should be noted that the works created within the framework of the festival will be exhibited at the final event, where the Shalva Kikodze Georgian Caricature Award will be awarded for the first time this year, and two Georgian creators will receive the award.
