Mikheil Chkhenkeli: OECD Recognizes Georgia's Distance Education Model as One of the Best
The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has named Georgia one of the best in the world in terms of the distance education model introduced in response to COVID-19 over the past month, the education minister said.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli praised the success of the online study and the "Teleschool" program: "The semester will definitely take place and will not fail."
The Minister said about the framework document of the organization, which details all the measures that have been introduced in the field of distance learning.
Chkhenkeli thanked the teachers for their active and diligent involvement in online teaching, and noted the activity of schools that are using Microsoft or other products in this direction.
The Prime Minister noted that due to the fact that the Georgian distance education model has been named one of the most successful in the world by OECD, the country may overcome such a challenge as the announcement of the academic year.
