Literature Campuses to Arrange for Students

Within the frameworks of a partnership between Bank of Georgia and Tbilisi - World Book Capital, student campuses on literature and film will be arranged. 

The participants will be able to be introduced to Georgian writers and film directors and discuss the matters of literature, cinematography, and other fields of creative industries. 

In addition, they can develop skills for teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking during planned cognitive activities throughout the day. Also, student campuses will screen movies, which will have a discussion afterward.

The campuses will be set in Telavi and 80 students of Tbilisi's universities will be able to participate. Two lectures will be held per day within the project.

Writers and film directors who will hold the lectures are as follows:

  • Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili,
  • Ekaterine Togonidze,
  • Eko Deisadze,
  • Toresa Mossy,
  • Giorgi Kekelidze,
  • Uta Beraia,
  • Paata Tsikolia,
  • Neno Kavtaradze.

On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day on the 23rd of April 2021, Tbilisi was named as the World Book Capital for the year 2021 and currently, undertakes to promote books and reading and to organize activities over the year.
