Kutaisi International University to Collaborate with Jülich Research Centre of Germany

Within the frameworks of "Georgian-German Science Bridge", Kutaisi International University collaborates with Jülich Research Centre.

The memorandum was formed by Mikheil Chkhenkeli - Minister of Education and Wolfgang Marquardt - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jülich Research Centre and director Prof. Andreas Wahner.

The memorandum aims to found scientific connections between KIU and FZJ. Leibniz Institute for New Materials, Institute for Nuclear Physics, Institute for Bio- and Geosciences Plant Sciences, Institute of Energy and Climate Research, ZEA-1 – Technology for World-Class Research, and Electronic Systems (ZEA-2) participate from the German party in the collaboration. 

Within the collaboration, it is planned to create supercomputing and data analysis groups. 

Within the frameworks of KIU-FZJ agreement, students will have an opportunity to fulfil the projects in FZJ research centres. They also envisaged organizing workshops seasonal schools and exchange programs.
