How Many Political Parties and Who Enter New Parliament of Georgia

The Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC) has counted all ballots of the October 31 parliamentary elections. According to preliminary indicators, only 9 political parties have overcome the 1% barrier. The ruling party Georgian Dream has won 14 majority districts, while repeated elections will be held in 16 majority districts.

According to the final results, the majority of votes (75) were won by the Georgian Dream.

The United National Movement (UNM) ranks second with 35 mandates; European Georgia is third with 5 mandates, Strategy Aghmashenebeli – 4 mandates, Lelo – 4 mandates, Alliance of Patriots – 4 mandates, Girchi – 4 mandates, Citizens – 2 mandates and Labor Party – 1 mandate.

As known, opposition parties have refused to enter the new Parliament and they demand ahead of schedule elections referring to falsified elections.
