Global Benefits Georgia to Involve Additional Family Doctors in COVID-19 Management
Insurance company Global Benefits Georgia has involved an additional number of family doctors in COVID-19 management.
As the company founder Nina Kobakhidze told Business Partner, the decision was taken amid growing the number of infected persons in the country. “We have attracted a new group of family doctors for management of COVID-19 at homes. They work in shifts because 50-60 infected persons apply to us every day. This is a big figure compared to the number of our insured beneficiaries”, Kobakhidze noted. The software has been adapted to the 112 services, she noted. “At this stage, we manage to respond to all cases, but the growing number of tests will increase the number of applications too. Naturally, we are ready to attract more trained and professional family doctors, if necessary. I would like to thank them very much for their tireless job”, Nina Kobakhidze said.
We remind you that the Georgian insurance industry joined the COVID-19 management program in late October and insurance companies involved 50-60 family doctors. The Central Online Clinic has also launched an operation for providing regular monitoring over patients and their close contacts. All persons thinking they are infected must dial the 112 and pass registration for the general system, from where they are readdressed to family doctors of insurance companies. The general process and system are managed by the Online Clinic.
