Georgian-Swiss Agreement to Protect Indications of Kakheti, Sulguni and Borjomi
The Georgia-Switzerland agreement on protection of indications of location, origin and sources came into effect on September 1, 2019.
The agreement covers such indications as Tête de Moine, Gruyère, Swiss Chocolate and Swiss wristwatches. Moreover, the document protects such indications as Switzerland, names of Cantons and the flag of Switzerland.
At the same time, the agreement protects such Georgian indications as Kakheti (wine), Sulguni and Borjomi.
