Georgian Project ''I Pity the Garden'' will be Presented at Venice Art Biennale
The project "I Pity the Garden" by Mariam Natroshvili and Detu Jincharadze will be presented by In-between Conditions in frames of Georgian National Pavilion at the 59th Venice Art Biennale.
By reflecting on current, changing times "I Pity the Garden" envisions an inevitable change of natural and cultural landscapes. The exhibition is built on VR technology for the presentation of the central piece and is accompanied by a large-scale video installation. The work invites the viewer into a surreal, dystopian environment on the backdrop of climate crisis, global and local turmoil and transformations.
''We are grateful to the project selection committee for their trust! It is an honor and an incredible responsibility for the entire project team,''reads the Facebook post.
Further details will be provided in the coming weeks.
Curators of In-between Conditions are Vato Urushadze, Khatia Tchokhonelidze, Giorgi Spanderashvili.
