Georgian Fashion House Materiel Brings Out Pre-Fall Collection 2021
Created in collaboration with Materiel and the Jam Project Agency, Materiel's 2021 Pre-Fall Collection is an open source project whose core concept is to identify the true personality, appearance and individuality of a real person.
The collection, which is mainly made of sustainable and recycled fabric, brings together individual, strong and independent women of different ages, backgrounds and lifestyles, making it impossible to forget the characters they create.
Tiko Paksashvili tries to highlight the qualities of strong women with her collections.
"Impressive, strong, unyielding, inspiring, sophisticated - all these are the characteristics of a woman that I try to convey in my collections. Materiel's female story goes on as her identity and character gradually develop. My vision is to create collections that unite women with different characteristics and tell their story," - said in a letter from the designer.
Great importance is attached to a woman's individuality in the collection. Individuality does not necessarily mean that these types of women do not experience this or that influence, but the main thing is that this influence does not make them lose their own personality.
“Materiel women are distinguished by a wide range of individuality. This intelligent being is unwavering, has no boundaries, and makes decisions based solely on his own instincts and values. His strong character is not protected from influences. This, in turn, is completely natural to me. At the same time, it is important to maintain our individuality and to have our own views and ideas about the world and everything that happens in it."
Along with the masculine character, the PRE-FALL 2021 collection also presents the feminine nature of women as a symbol of compassion and simplicity. Proportion and balance play an important role here. The fun, short pants that might make us nostalgic for school uniforms are balanced by men’s vests and classic shirts. Pieces with complex structure allow transformation in the collection.
