Georgian Composer Ana Kasrashvili Becomes a Member of World Soundtrack Academy

Georgian film composer Ana Kasrashvili became a member of the World Soundtrack Academy.

The composer will be eligible to vote in three nominations at this year’s World Soundtrack Awards. The categories are Film Composer of the Year, Telecomposer of the Year, Best Original Song.

The composer became one of the winners of the "World Soundtrack Awards" in 2020. Ana Kasrashvili is the first woman in the history of the competition to receive an award in the category of the young composer. The World Soundtrack Awards have been held in Ghent, Belgium since 2001 and award the best composers in the world.

Last year, the musician took second place in a competition at the Krakow Film Festival. She created music for the 2019 episode of The Crown and became the first woman to win a prize in the history of the competition.

World Soundtrack Awards will be held on October 23rd, 2021.
