Georgian Citizens will no longer Need to Obtain Special Purpose Visa to Enter Turkey for Treatment

Georgian citizens and accompanying persons will no longer need to obtain Medical Visa to enter Turkey for treatment.

The information on this matter is written in the statement published by the Georgian Embassy in Turkey on their official Facebook page.

"The Turkish side once again reconsidered the decision on the matter of requiring Georgian citizens to obtain a medical visa to enter Turkey for medical treatment and informed us, that Georgian citizens and accompanying persons will no longer need the Special Purpose Visa to come to Turkey for medical purposes. Within the framework of this issue, the Georgian Embassy contacted relevant Turkish agencies and Turkish diplomatic mission representatives in Georgia yesterday.

Due to the matters written above, visa-free regime and the regulations stated above continue with Georgia:

First of all, the patient or accompanying person should apply to the conformable clinic in Turkey for consent to receive medical care.

The patient or accompanying person, together with Turkish clinic, must register on the website of the Turkish International Medical Service Agency - https://covid19st.ushas.com.tr/ and upload the required documentation.

After receiving the permit, the patient or accompanying person must plan the transportation together with the clinic.

Only 2 accompanying persons are allowed with the patient.", is written in the statement.
