Georgian and Ukrainian Parties to Discuss the Possibilities of Resuming Direct Flights

Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development held a meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart, Vladislav Krikliy.

During the meeting, parties have discussed the possibilities of restoring direct air traffic between Georgia and Ukraine.

Deputy Ministers, Akaki Saghirashvili and Genadi Arveladze also attended the meeting.

Direct air traffic between Georgia and Ukraine was very active before the pandemic. Three Ukrainian airlines operated regular flights to cities in the two countries. At the meeting, they expressed readiness to create so-called "Green Corridors" between Georgia and Ukraine as soon as possible, in compliance with all epidemiological norms and protocols. This is also facilitated by the fact that the airlines are also ready to resume flights.", said Natia Turnava.
