Georgia to Move on to Mass Immunization from July
As the head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze declared, Georgia will most likely move on to Mass immunization from July.
According to him, apart from the additional Chinese vaccine which is planned to be delivered in Georgia, citizens will also be able to have Novavax vaccine. Currently, the negotiations are on the terms that 1 million doses of vaccine will enter the country. Apart from this, negotiations are also underway with Johnsons & Johnsons, and Pfizer.
"The informational campaign will be strengthened in Georgia gradually. . Not only will there be a Chinese-made vaccine in the country, yesterday the ministry received a contract for a second very promising vaccine, the Novavax vaccine. Novavax is an American company, this vaccine is different from the vaccines of "Pfizer", "AstraZeneca", "Moderna" and Chinese. Novovax is the largest manufacturer of vaccines. In addition, the country is negotiating directly with Pfizer. Negotiations are also underway with Johnson & Johnson.", Amiran Gamkrelidze noted.
