Georgia Presented at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair

Organized by the Writers' House, a meeting was held with the children's writer Vasil Guleuri at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair.

On March 21-24, Georgia presented at the Bologna Children's Book Fair with a stand organized by Tbilisi - World Book Capital.

At the traditional Illustrators Survival Corner at the Bologna Book Fair, which annually hosts illustrators, three illustrators: Ana Janelidze, Varlam Jmukhadze, and Giorgi Jincharadze were presented, organized by Tbilisi - World Book Capital. They will not only present their work but also meet publishers, literary agents, and other representatives of the publishing area, with whom they will share their portfolios to plan future collaborations. Also, during four days, prints of up to forty works of ten illustrators working in Georgia were exhibited.

The Bologna Children's Book Fair has been held since 1963 and is a leading international platform in the field of children's literature. Winners of the Main Children’s Literary Prizes, the Hans Christian Andersen and the Astrid Lindgren Prize, will be revealed at the Bologna Book Fair. Mariam Tsiklauri, Tea Topuria, Irma Malatsidze, Varlam Jmukhadze, and Nikozi Art School are nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Prize from Georgia this year.
