Georgia has 12,000 PCR Test Supplies

More than 17,000 tests have already been performed in Georgia for the diagnosis of COVID-19, - said Paata Imnadze, Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control.

According to him, more than 12,000 of these indicators are so-called PCR tests, more than 5,000 so-called fast tests.

"If we were to rely only on tests now and if we had a lot of  undiagnosed patients, Georgian hospitals would be full today," Paata Imnadze said at the briefing.

He noted that 822 and 919 tests had been performed in the last 2 days.

According to the latest data, Georgia has 12,000 PCR test supplies, and the stock will be replenished on Monday-Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that the number of people who are being tested has increased in recent days.

According to April 26 data, the confirmed incidence of coronavirus increased by 29 and reached 485; 139 people have already recovered and 6 have died.
