Genius School Student and Teacher from Komarov School – The Life of Talented Georgian Boy
Nika Birkadze, the 12th grader student of Komarov school has been enlisted in the adults’ hall of Informatics International Olympiad and this is huge recognition for the Georgian student.
This title is transmitted to only those pupils who have obtained 2 golden medals at international Olympiad in Informatics, whilst the Georgian talent has obtained two golden and one silver medal.
The 12th grader Nika shares his experience to other pupils too. He teaches at Mziuri center for information technologies. His elder brother Saba is a successful person too. He studies biochemistry at San Diego University.
The Mshoblebi.ge has interviewed Nika’s mother Lela Noniashvili:
He showed his talent from the very beginning, especially in mathematics. Being 3rd grader pupil, he started participating in mathematics competitions and he was winning every time. At the same time, he teaches information technologies at Mziuri center. The center has launched a program for working with talented pupils. They hold competition and invite successful pupils. We were invited after this competition too.
-What factors make a pupil successful? How should we help a child find proper way?
-I have always assisted him in making proper accents. Both sons were best in mathematics from the very beginning. That’s why they moved to Komarov School. Parents should always identify the interests of their children and in both cases I precisely identified their interests.
-What about his career plans after school graduation?
-We have serious discussions on this issue. He wants to continue studies at Massachusetts Technology University, on the faculty of informatics and mathematics. He decided to wait one year and obtain due financial support. Otherwise, he will enter Free University in Tbilisi.
