Further Restrictions Lifted in Georgia from Today
As of today, June 8, several more restrictions will be lifted in the country. In particular, the change will affect intercity transport, restaurants, hotels and currency exchange booths.
More specifically, by the decision of the government:
- From June 8, restaurants will be fully operational, not only open but closed type restaurants. Open type restaurants have been given the right to resume work from June 1. However, it should be noted that it is mandatory for all restaurants to follow certain recommendations. Among them, it is necessary for consumers to wear a face mask, to keep a distance, it is allowed to place a maximum of 6 people on one table, etc.
- Intercity transport will be launched from Monday and intercity minibusses or buses will be able to transport passengers. However, it should be noted that trains will still be banned.
- Also, from June 8, currency exchange offices throughout Georgia will return to normal operation. However, the National Bank is urging currency exchange offices to strictly follow the recommendations and advice of professionals.
- According to the government's decision, hotels will be opened from Monday, June 8, which will be inspected by the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Health and will have the appropriate permit.
