Cyprus is 13th Country in EU to Recognize Georgia as the Safe Country

Cyprus recognized Georgia as a safe country - the Ministry of Cyprus has issued a decree in this regard.

Cyprus is the 13th country in the EU / Schengen space, which has made this decision in relation to Georgia (Georgia is included in the list of countries of safe country in Bulgaria, France, Liechtenstein, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Iceland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Estonia, Denmark and Czech Republic).

The official list of safe origin countries has only 20 member states of the EU / Schengen. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cyprus's decision reiterates that Georgia is regarded as a country with human rights and democratic standards, as well as general political environment and security, where people are not oppressed and people are protected from all possible persecution.
