Construction of Water and Sewage Infrastructure to be Resumed in Marneuli
Completely new and modern system of water and Sewage is being built in Marneuli. The information is published by the United Water Supply Company of Georgia.
"The works have been resumed in accordance with the recommendations given by the Ministry of Healthcare and building processes continue without hindrance. Within the frameworks of the project, Marneuli water supply/sewerage, Marneuli sewage treatment plant, Bolnisi collector, and sewage systems are being built.
The total investment of the project is more than 175 million GEL.
Ilia Begiashvili, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, and Giga Madaria, Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia, got acquainted with the works together with the local authorities.
According to the working processes, pumping stations and reservoirs are being constructed, main pipes and internal networks are being arranged, depreciated pipes are replaced with the new ones.
As a result of finishing projects, the population of the villages of Marneuli municipality - Tsereteli, Saimerlo, Didi Beglari, Patara Beglari, and Kizilajlo will be provided with continuous, 24-hour water supply. Local residents of Marneuli, Bolnisi, and the village of Kizilajlo will benefit from the water sewage system. According to the international standards, the new sewage treatment plant will clean up the wastewater after its commissioning in full compliance with biological cycle, which will significantly reduce the harmful effects on the environment in the region.
