City Hall Introduces Pass System in Public Transport in Tbilisi from January

From January, pass system will be launched in transport in Tbilisi,as the mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze said at a government meeting.

Integrated fare systems will enter in force after a current fleet of yellow minibuses (marshrutkas) in the Georgian capital Tbilisi is fully replaced with new minibuses by the end of 2021, he noted.

"We will introduce news from January, such as pass system in transport of Tbilisi. We will provide the detailed information later. 

In addition, there will be an integrated tariff system. As you know, if you buy a subway ticket, people can use the bus and minibus for free for an hour and a half. At present, this system does not apply to yellow minibuses, however, it will be fully regulated later and all public transport will be able to use this integrated tariff."
