Checkpoints Arranged at the Entrances of Georgia's Big Cities due to Quarantine

Due to high epidemiological risk, checkpoints were set up at the entrances of Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Poti and Gori to control the health of citizens.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the quarantine restrictions are controlled 24 hours in an emergency regime.

Primary thermo-screening of citizens is performed on site.

Ministry of Internal Affairs staff regularly explains in detail the quarantine restrictions to the local population and helps them as needed.

Violation of the state of emergency results in administrative liability - fining a physical person with GEL 3,000 and a legal entity - GEL 15,000. Repeated violation of the state of emergency is a criminal offense and envisages up to 3 years of imprisonment.
