Bridge of GEL 35 Million to Connect University Street with Bagebi

A new bridge will connect University Street with Bagebi, as part of the 35-million-GEL project. Tbilisi City Hall has already announced a tender for the project implementation up to 2023.

Tbilisi municipal budget will finance the project by GEL 6 million in 2021, GEL 14 million in 2022, and GEL 15 million in 2023. The bridge is around 500 meters in length. The project will connect Bagebi settlement, Tskneti settlement, and neighboring villages with University Street, Vazha-Pshavela Avenue, and neighboring highways and streets. The bicycle lane will be also integrated into the bridge. Tbilisi City Hall has already announced a tender.

The project became relevant because the road traffic has been growing and the transportation infrastructure is overloaded.
