Alexandre Koberidze's film "What We See When We Look at the Sky" is selected among 5 finalists of the nomination of FIPRESCI Grand Prix – Best Film of 2021.
The International Federation of Film Critics annually issues a Grand Prix and names the best film of the year.
For the “FIPRESCI Grand Prix – Best Film of 2021″ five films have been nominated: Nomadland (Chloé Zhao), Another Round (Thomas Vinterberg), Quo Vadis, Aida? (Jasmila Zbanic), What Do We See When We Look at the Sky (Alexandre Koberidze) and Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn (Radu Jude). The winner will be determined through a poll among the critics of FIPRESCI, and will receive the award at the opening gala of the San Sebastian Film Festival on September 17, 2021.
What Do We See When We Look at the Sky? is a 2021 German-Georgian drama film written and directed by Alexandre Koberidze. The film stars Ani Karseladze, Giorgi Bochorishvili and Vakhtang Panchulidze. The film had its worldwide premiere at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival in March 2021.
