Additional Restrictions to Lift in February

Giorgi Gakharia discussed the matters of COVID-19 restrictions on the government session. He decided to lift some of the restrictions based on the fact that coronavirus infection positivity rates are already below 4%.

From February 15th, restaurants will be able to resume working in the open-air space. 

As for the open-air markets, they will be reopened on February 8th instead of the 15th. 

According to Giorgi Gakharia, public transport will also resume operating from February 8th.

Apart from these restrictions, Giorgi Gakharia also announced, that schools will reopen from February 8th in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Rustavi.

The curfew remains effective from 21:00 to 05:00.
