Abandoned Village in the Competition Program of the Paris Animation Festival
Mariam Kapanadze's animated film "Abandoned Village" was included in the competition program of the Paris International Animated Film Festival.
Short animation presented in one of the sections of the festival, "The Horizons".
"Abandoned Village" was shot in 2018 by the joint efforts of the film studio "Kvali XXI", the film center "Georgian Film - Abkhazia" and the Georgian National Film Center.
Recently, Kapanadze's work became the first Georgian animated film to be shown at the Museum of Photography in Tokyo. In 2020, Picture became one of the winners of the Hokkaido International Film Festival. The work was awarded a special prize by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
