Winner of Usaid-sponsored Innovation Competition Receives Democracy Tech Entrepreneurship Fellowship

Last year, Ketevan Bosikashvili of Supernova won a USAID-sponsored innovation competition for tech professionals developing tools to counter disinformation. This year, Ketevan is building on that success as a Democracy Tech Entrepreneur Fellow with the Alliance of Democracies, an organization launched in 2017 by former NATO Secretary General and Prime Minister of Denmark Anders Foghs Rasmussen.

The fellowship is awarded each year to tech entrepreneurs from emerging democracies. Its stated purpose is to “equip democracy tech entrepreneurs from emerging democracies with the know-how of starting and scaling successful, and democratically driven ventures.”

Ketevan will have the opportunity to build partnerships with other tech professionals and with policy makers, and she will receive support to help her scale up her tech ventures. She will also travel to Denmark in June to participate in the Copenhagen Democracy Summit.
