Webster University Received its First Influx of Students in Georgia
The project to open an American university in Georgia, which started 2 years ago, was successfully implemented, creating an unprecedented opportunity to receive internationally recognized education appeared in the region.
Webster University's Georgia campus recently welcomed its first influx of students. A delegation from Webster University visited Georgia on an official visit to meet with students. In addition, the US ambassador to Georgia, representatives of education and business, and international partners met the students and congratulated them on the start of their studies.
"It is very nice to be in Tbilisi and I want to welcome the first-generation students of "Webster University" who are starting their educational path here. This is the first American higher education institution that entered Georgia and the Caucasus. We are proud of the cooperation with the "University of Business and Technology" and the state support for this very successful work. We are here to stay; we are here to help young Georgians get the best education that we can offer in the US. And we are now offering that education here in Georgia," says Webster University President Julian Schuster.
Webster University was founded in 1915 and operates in 50 locations around the world. The university is accredited and recognized by the highest-ranking commissions. The Georgia campus is authorized to accept 1,000 students and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in business administration management, international relations and media communications.
The Georgian campus is international, and in addition to local citizens, foreign students also study in it.
Enrolled students have the opportunity to take advantage of exchange programs and spend one or more semesters around the world at any Webster campus.
At the end of their studies, students will be awarded an American diploma from Webster University.
