Volvo Car Georgia Unveils New Conceptual Showroom in Tbilisi

Volvo Car Georgia has officially opened its new showroom, the first in the Caucasus region to feature the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept. Mirroring the brand's Swedish showrooms, this space emphasizes safety and sustainability, with solar panels installed on its facade and roof to harness renewable energy. A significant investment of 15 million GEL has been poured into this project.

Located at 6 University Street, Tbilisi, the new Volvo Car Georgia showroom is constructed in true Scandinavian style, offering a fresh approach to automotive service. Gaga Kokhreidze, the director of Volvo Car Caucasus, expressed pride at the grand opening: "Today marks a momentous occasion for Volvo Car Georgia as we unveil our innovative showroom. Our facility embodies Volvo Cars' unique approach to the automotive industry, offering customers a new car buying and ownership experience."

The state-of-the-art service center reflects global standards with its striking two-story architecture, accentuated by nine-meter high white and blue stained glass windows. The rooftop is fitted with 693 solar panels, generating electricity in daylight.

The showroom's opening, steeped in Scandinavian minimalism, was celebrated with a conceptually aligned event. Embracing a museum-inspired theme, the history and evolution of Volvo were showcased through art spaces featuring installations by Georgian artists that resonate with Volvo's values.

Historic Volvo engineering feats, including the three-point seat belt invented in 1959, were highlighted outside the building alongside classic Volvo models, such as the legendary Volvo Amazon from the 1970s.

A dedicated area showcased the sought-after Volvo Plug-In-Hybrid XC 90, presented by artist Giorgi Zatiashvili on a hexagonal pedestal surrounded by pine-like prismatic boxes, symbolizing sustainability.

The future was artistically interpreted by Nika Machaidze with a video installation of the fully electric Volvo C40, filmed on a dry lakebed to provoke thoughts on the ecological footprint of our choices in an electrifying future.

The opening score was crafted by Georgian artist Nikako, with Nika Machaidze performing live for attendees at the new showroom.

Construction of the "Volvo Car Georgia" showroom was expertly handled by Gravita, with meticulous attention to the Volvo brand's international standards and direct oversight from Volvo Cars.

Volvo Car Caucasus, which serves Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan, intends to expand its presence with additional showrooms across the region.

A part of Tegeta Holding, Volvo Car Georgia has been the official representative of the Swedish brand since 2019, offering an array of premium SUVs, sedans, and station wagons, including plug-in hybrids and the latest internal combustion models. Customers also enjoy access to a digital store, where they can virtually inspect vehicles with a 360-degree view and customize their preferred model for delivery by Volvo Car Georgia.
