Visa: Georgia Ranks First Globally in Contactless Payments Adaptation

According to the latest update of VisaNet data, Georgia has achieved the highest penetration of contactless payments worldwide. Out of more than 200 countries and territories where Visa operates, Georgia ranked first, followed by Australia and Hungary.

Georgia has been at the forefront of utilizing fast and secure contactless payment methods such as card tapping, smartphone payments, watch payments, and other digital gadgets in recent years. In fact, almost all Visa card transactions in Georgia are contactless, according to VisaNet's recent data.
