Ukrainian Restaurant Vyshyvanka Opened in Tbilisi

"Vyshyvanka" - this is the name of a new restaurant opened in December on Pekini Street in Tbilisi, which offers its guests modernized Ukrainian dishes and Georgian wine.

As restaurant co-founder and chef Tsotne Maisuradze told Bm.ge, the idea of opening a Ukrainian restaurant came to them in November of last year and they were able to organize and launch it with a personal investment of 120,000 GEL.

"Vyshyvanka" is Ukrainian embroidery. We express our solidarity with Ukraine and the name of the restaurant was chosen from here, and we think that we did not have the opportunity to taste modernized Ukrainian cuisine in Georgia. Therefore, we decided to offer our guests traditional Ukrainian dishes with an original interpretation.

In addition, to celebrate the friendship between Georgia and Ukraine, we mixed Georgian wine and Ukrainian cuisine and offered it to our guests. The number of guests is increasing day by day, and among the customers are both locals and tourists," Tsotne Maisuradze noted, adding that today guests mostly order Kiev cutlet, borscht, and meat and fish dumplings, although pancakes with caviar and garlic baked in butter are also very popular,'' said Tsotne Maisuradze.

Today, the Ukrainian restaurant works at full capacity and can host 35-40 people at the same time. The facility creates 13 jobs.
