TV Rain has Obtained European License, Plans to Broadcast from Tbilisi

TV Rain (Dozhd) has obtained a European broadcasting license. European publications and the General Director of the TV company Natalia Sindeeva also write about it.

"We plan to broadcast from several countries. First on the list are Riga, Amsterdam, Paris, and Tbilisi. We plan to expand in the future if we have enough strength and resources. I want to build a large international company. I can not add anything else as a comment yet. We will announce the start of broadcasting soon," Sindeeva wrote on the social network.

For reference, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, official Moscow adopted a new law on "fake news". Under the law, independent media were threatened, which led to the closure of several media platforms in Russia. TV Rain stopped working in early March, while its editor-in-chief and several other members of the editorial board left the country.
