The First Organic Greenhouse in Georgia - Bostani
An organic greenhouse "Bostani" was arranged on an area of 1300 square meters in Fonichala, where both seasonal and non-seasonal natural garden and vegetable crops are grown, including 7 varieties of tomatoes, 3 varieties of zucchini, carrots, beets, sweet peppers, broccoli, eggplant, and basil.
The annual yield of "Bostani" is about 7 tons. As the founder, Beka Barjadze noted, the products are sold both on online platforms and in Carrefour. The company plans to start growing seasonal vegetables in the open field next year, whereas this year they will harvest plums and apples.
"Bostani is the first organic greenhouse in Georgia. We grow both seasonal and non-seasonal natural garden and vegetable crops. There is a shortage of non-seasonal organic products, i.e. natural products in our country, and the production of the latter requires a lot of work. This is the reason why I decided to arrange a greenhouse, where I would harvest non-seasonal vegetables.", noted the founder of "Bostani".
