Tegeta Opens a State-of-the-Art, Multi-Functional Automotive Complex – An Investment of 60 Million GEL
Tegeta Motors recently inaugurated its newly renovated complex on University Street, a significant event attended by international partners and signifying a major stride in the automotive industry. This development, a 60 million GEL investment, epitomizes the company's commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly automotive solutions.
The new complex, spanning one hectare, houses both the "Volvo Car Georgia" and "Tegeta Motors" showrooms, presenting a unique blend of global standards and energy-efficient infrastructure. The grand opening, held on December 16, showcased a modern showroom, a fully upgraded service center, and extensive warehouse facilities.
Designed as a pioneering, multifunctional space in the region's automotive sector, the complex offers a comprehensive range of services for light vehicles, including electric cars, in a customer-friendly setting. To support electric vehicle owners, five electric chargers are installed in the showroom's courtyard.
A key feature of the new facility is its commitment to green energy, with over 700 solar panels installed across the building and parking area, capable of generating half a megawatt of energy annually. This two-year renovation project, a collaboration with TBC, emphasizes Tegeta's dedication to environmentally conscious practices.
Vakhtang Kacharava, Executive Director of Tegeta Holding, expressed his enthusiasm at the opening: "We are thrilled to open this new complex, a testament to our near 30-year commitment to easing car ownership and offering top-tier automotive services. Our focus is on adapting to the evolving global auto industry and meeting customer expectations with superior service. This latest venture in Vake has created over 100 new jobs, aligning with energy efficiency standards and boasting a significant 75% of its required energy generated by solar panels. Today, we stand as the first service hub in Transcaucasia and a trusted partner in the global business community."
