TbilVino to Plant Vineyards in Gurjaani and Kvareli
TbilVino, a Georgian wine company cultivated vineyard in Kakheti this year.
According to the founder of the company, Zurab Margvelashvili, TbilVino cultivated 42 hectares of Saperavi vineyard and continues this process in 2021 too.
TbilVino also plans to plant a vineyard on 50-55 hectares of territory in the region of Telavi.
"In Kvareli and Gurjaani, on 54 hectares, we cultivated Aleksandruli and Mujuretuli apart from Saperavi. In total, we reached 360 hectares. We have certified seedlings, which are healthy and protected from viruses, have an Israeli irrigation system, with the help of which we will get the first harvest in 3 years. Also, high-quality fertilizer of German brand is used.
We plan to harvest an average of 900 tons, but in order to produce high-quality wine, we reduce the yield by 30% to accumulate more aromas of concentration in the remaining grapes. If the hail and circumstances do not hinder us, we expect a good harvest in 2021.", noted Zurab Margvelashvili.
